It’s a rare thing when a place can far exceed your expectations but JapaMala has managed it. The staff are fabulous to us, not just providing great service but actual friendship. Please keep this place small, personal and environmental. We will miss this place and everyone.

We have had an amazing 5 nights here at JapaMala. Thanks to all of you for great service and the fantastic day trips you’ve arranged. Special thanks to Vichan and Mike for outstanding hospitality and their service-mindedness.

Thank you to everyone who has made our stay so enjoyable. We are now totally relaxed and ready for our onward journey and adventures in New Zealand. This is a magical place – we hope it stays that way and not too many get to know the secret hideaway that is JapaMala.

What a perfect way to start married life together! We really couldn’t have asked for a more perfect way to spend our honeymoon. This beautiful paradise has exceeded all of our dreams and expectations. Thank you to all of the staff, every single one of them has been so friendly and always smiling, they really make JapaMala so unique. Food has been outstanding, beautiful villa with so much attention to details in every way, amazing massages (thank you ladies!), amazing snorkeling and delicious cocktails.

Dear friends at Japamala,
The Portuguese were the first people to arrive in Malaysia. I guess at that time they didn’t come to Tioman. But we are fortunate to rediscover it 500 years after! Don’t forget to look for the “secret beach” after the storms on the right. We had there marvelous mornings, afternoons and “semi-sunsets”. See you all someday and thanks for your friendly smiles.

From a wet start as we arrive and myself having hurt my leg I thought can this holiday get any worse.
But the next morning paradise appeared with the sun glazing.

We’ve had a wonderful time in this beautiful resort! We enjoyed especially the chocolate, the nice- smelling oils and the orchids. Thanks so much to the genius cooks who made us the delicious food. The view at the end of the jungle-trip was overwhelming. Despite the weather it was a really wonderful end of our holiday. The little attentions made it.

Again, 2nd time! We had a marvelous stay at the Japamala. We knew what we were coming back to. But the pleasure was just as great. We enjoyed the view, the friendly stay, the food, the chalet, the spa & the afternoon bites. We’ve seen Japamala has improved itself in service. That’s very enjoyable. We were happy again with all the thai food & also had a nice BBQ at the jetty. But we hope that Asian food will be dominant at this fine and little place. Because that’s just the reason to go and visit Asia. We hope you don’t give in too less adventures Western tourists, Japamala wouldn’t be the same. We thank you all for a very relaxing holiday. We wish you all the best and hope to come again.
